En France

A city on a river, with two tall churches....

...and a birthday dinner of turkey, potatoes, and red wine.

  1. I'm trying to decide which town that is. Did you eat out? I thought you were planing on home cooked turkey for dinner - I'm confused!!
Hope you had a nice birthday!

  2. Inside the cathedral there is a famous triptych, Vierge en gloire, which was especially recommended to me by my friend P. It is attributed to a Dutch painter, Jean Hey. Vaut le détour et à ne pas manquer!

    1. That's the TV guide! We were checking on what the Thalassa show was about that evening.

    2. J'ai réalisé mon erreur après avoir posté. Je pensais que c'était une brochure de l'office du tourisme .

  5. What a beautiful city on the river! Nice dinner also. Does mustard go well with turkey?

    1. That jar of Maille is mayonnaise, not mustard. I like mayo with cold chicken, turkey, or pork, and with cold boiled potatoes.

When I read, "A city on a river, with two tall churches...." I thought maybe the rest of the post would rhyme. :-)
